Desert of the Real Economic Analysis
Economic and Investment Analysis from a former Punk Rocker and Healthcare Economist. Economic analysis of international issues, domestic matters, and anything that could affect your investment portfolio in this Secular Bear Market. But there is more, lots more. WHY THE AUTHOR HAS NOT BEEN POSTING.
Don't know, really. There just seems nothing positive to say.
The Author is at a very low point in life, working the worst job he has ever worked, for the lowest compensation (in inflation-adjusted dollars), with the longest commute he has ever endured.
That's New Mexico. Land of little or no employment. And on this miserable day in history, the American war of aggression to steal Mexican land ended with the so-called Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848. By that document the US took New Mexico by force of arms from Mexico. The Mexicans can damn well have it back.
Oh, and another monumentous date. On this day in 2000, the NASDAQ Stock index peaked at 5132.52. Today it closed at 2169.34, about 42% of the record. It fell 1.95% today. The Author, who is short the NASDAQ index, keeps making money while the "buy-and-hold" dillwads get drilled.
Things will turn around. But for now, life sucks and the Author will just have to deal with it for awhile. And plot his comeback.
SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE THE PAIN IN THE DESERT OF THE REAL!
