February 12th 1809-February 12th 2009

February 12th is the bicentenntial of one of the most important days in the history of the world. February 12th, 1809, is the birthday of Charles Darwin, the recognized founder of the fact of evolution, and Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator.

The Desert of the Real has noted Darwin Day in past years. It is an international celebration of Darwin's contribution to science and the modern world view that places humans in their place and creation myths in the dustbin of history.

A RARE DAY OF CELEBRATION IN THE DESERT OF THE REAL!

Do you think evolution and creation can co-exist?

Ivory Tower-

Evolution and creation can coexist in some limited sense. Evolution could be the process "created" for life to evolve.

That is not a question that the scientific worldview can answer or even address. That is a question for humans, theologians and philosophers.

Did you see, National Geographic's, Feb. issue, "What Darwin Didn't Know?" Not very technical (since I understood it)but interesting.
